There Are 6 Pictures On This Page

These Pictures Were Submitted By Joe Friendy

These pictures were taken somewhere on the 37th Signal BN Compound
between April and September 1969.

SP/5 Joseph Friendy states that he "arrived in country, at Phu Bai, Oct 1968 with the 270th Signal Company, Mess Section, part of the 63rd Signal BN. Was reassigned as a cook to I Corp Tactical Zone Signal Group Headquarters. Worked in the 270th Signal Company Mess Hall.

I was transferred from Group Headquarters at Phu Bai in April 1969 to the 37th Signal BN, Da Nang. I worked as the night cook and baker and served the midnight meal. I stayed somewhere on the compound alot, because I slept most days and worked nights. I was not very familiar with the compound. I knew the Mess Hall, the Main Gate and the Club.

I don't remember when the pictures were taken or who took them. It is sometime between April and September 1969. The man in the pictures below is me (then SP/5 Friendy)".
